Faith, Hope and Love but the greatest is Love

I have been reading Fr. John Maloney's books since the 1970's. Fr. Maloney does not disappoint us again.

In the author's explanation of St. Paul's Vision to the Church, he gives us hope for all creation.

The most poignant of St. Paul's vision, is the visiting with Christ, of the three heavens. during a time of ecstasy. Paul tells us that he cannot reveal all that was given to him in this revelation but that we will all be new spiritual embodied creations. We will be able to visit the three heavens continously for all eternity.

The greatest of our enemies, death will be no more. Paul says that if there is no resurrection, there can be no hope for creation. God made us in His image and sent Jesus, His beloved son to save the world from evil and when Christ comes in the parousia (second coming) He will present the new creation to God,Our Father.

Let us prepare ourselves inwardly, as St. Paul teaches, through and in Christ, for our great awakening.

Well written story of the rise and rise of a very interesting man who took many clever risks to achieve great wealth and success. It shows Mr Lowy with warts and all. His arrogance and lack of tolerance when dealing with fools and his absolute confidence in his own decisions, Without these faults he would probably be an ordinary man. This book is well worth reading.

A must-read

Jonathan Gregory's initial number in his Gemini & Flowers mystery series is an auspicious beginning indeed.It is set in a very old English village where a generous (and gay) lord of the manor makes it possible for people of multiple income ranges to live comfortably. The "mystery" part comes in with an unidentified modern-day highwayman is on the loose, robbing and in one instance cold-bloodedly killing a young man who put up a mild resistance to being relieved of his earthly possessions. The lord of the manor is also a highly successful illustrator who is surrogate parent to two unusual young boys who seem to possess some unusual powers. I highly recommend this book. It is not filled with lusty sex, as desirable as that is. Instead the emphasis is on building a story that will grab--and hold--the reader's interest. The best testament to a series author's abilities is if readers will purchase the second volume. I am reading it now!

I enjoyed this book so much that I had difficulty in resisting the temptation to consume it all at one go to find out what happened. The setting, the structure and theme are most unusual, and the details most elegantly woven together in such a way that I felt the village and its inhabitants all existed somewhere. The humour ranges from bawdy to wry, with some very perceptive and mature observations of personality and emotion. I think the book has set the scene for a sequel, and I look forward to meeting all the characters again in the next volume for which I am content to wait, trusting that the author takes his time to create a follow-up which is equally beguiling.

A wonderful Life in Rilton Castle

Mr. Gregory writes at the end of his book that he started writing Country Life in order to have a book that he himself would like to read. I don't know about him, but I had a GREAT time with this book. It is fun, thoughtful, somewhat Utopian in a good sense, and immensely satisfying. I was really sad when I zoomed through the book and suddenly realized it was all coming to an end - but then you get to the last pages and BANG, so to speak.

I highly recommend the book. I am REALLY looking forward to the next installment.

About the Author
About the Author Marietta S. Millet is an associate professor of Architecture at the University of Washington in Seattle. She has lectured widely, has been a visiting professor at several schools, and has also held the Frederick Charles Baker Distinguished Chair in Lighting in the Department of Architecture at the University of Oregon. She is a partner in Loveland/Millet Lighting Consultants. Ms. Millet holds a Masters of Architecture degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has received numerous awards for her work.

(I raised my eyebrow at that last one, but after considering the book's examples of theatrical light, festive light, contemplative light, and divine light, I got on board!)

Most welcome are four focused sections of the book that consider, for 7 to 12 pages, the interaction between light and architecture of a single building. My favorite of these is Aalto's Mount Angel Abbey Library.

does everything right

This book is great. Nearly everything about it is clear, concise, informative, and inspiring.

The format is worth mentioning because the author does everything right. Each chapter is dedicated to a single principle of lighting design, and is immediately followed by a case study that beautifully illustrates that same principle. Also, whenever the text mentions a particular building or room - there is always a lovely and appropriate photograph of that very same room or building RIGHT ON THE VERY SAME PAGE. This is a rare example of a well-concieved and thoughtfully executed book on architecture.

A very EN"LIGHT"ENING book!

Any spatial experience is intimately connected with the experience of light. The author has very articulately described this phenomena in architecture, using four major themes - where light helps with a physiological EXPERIENCE, gives a building FORM, defines and enhances SPACE, and thus gives it MEANING.

This is an excellent book, well written and has a good association with all aspects of lighting, studied and explained with the help of a wide range of buildings and architecture. It makes a very strong (and convincing) argument, for all designers to pay attention to the importance of light while planning and designing their spaces or buildings.

This is story of Richard who will do anything to please his wife Jennifer. Jennifer feels like she should be a man and soon Richard finds himself slowly being turned into a woman. You follow their lives as Jennifer becomes the husband and Rick becomes the wife. Neither have the desire to have sex with others of either sex and refer to each other as husband (Jennifer) and wife (Richard).The story follows Rick as he starts wearing more and more women's clothing and Jennifer wears men's clothes even to work.Will they physically change genders you have to read the book to find out .This is a love story with each of the two main characters want to please the other to any extent.

This book is a page turner which I can hardly put away. It tells a tale about a man who is feminised in love for his wife who wants to be a man. Slowly he starts to act and dress more and more feminine. Well written, well paced, absolutely wonderful. A real turn on.

This was a delightfully creative story with a number of delightful twists. Jeanette is a tall powerful woman and Rick is her loving husband, who loves to make Jeanette happy. Rick sees that Jeanette is struggling. He asks and really listens to Jeanette.
Jeanette is transgender and wants to be the dominant partner, the husband, and more masculine. Rick loves her so much that he becomes more submissive and more like a wife. The more feminine Rick becomes, the more loving, romantic, and passionate Jeanette becomes. The stronger, more powerful, and confident Jeanette becomes, the more attracted and aroused Rick becomes.
Soon each discovers their true nature and create a new and even more loving and powerful relationship with each other, and themselves.

Being the real YOU

What an interesting tool to help you find how you were uniquely made. Joy is found when we play out what has been put in us. This book gives you a very practical way to find that in yourself and encourages you be make the effort to live it, not focsuing on what the world is asking of you but what you are asking of you.

Owning my word...

Loved this book! Recommend it highly. The stories are so familiar and applicable. You can lift scenarios and simply journey along with the authors.

This book,,,this book had me truly smiling inside as it teaches that being a true individual is not a bad thing but something to be celebrated and explored. Finally!- not only validation of my unique and wonderful gifts being but acknowledgment that my DIFFERENCE is not a weakness but rather a strength.

Being one who enjoys exploring self, I found the concepts both relatable and exciting to delve into. The process of coming to my word- well that was extremely trying but one of the most fascinating and challenging processes.

If you are a creative, different person looking to expand your idea about yourself and accentuate it- you need to get THIS BOOK.

This book makes real good sense!

I always thought I had to fix my short comings to be accepted by my colleagues. I realize that it is not necessary to change the unique differences we possess. God has given those differences to us deliberately so that we can make a difference by utilizing them. I feel stronger, more confident after having read this book. I now feel that I can look for ways to channel my ID and operate in my 5% "flow zone" to accomplish the purpose that God intended for my life. This is a recommended reading for anyone seeking to maximize their time while here on planet earth!!!

About the Author
Tracy L. Tuten, Ph.D., is Professor of Marketing at East Carolina University where she teaches social media marketing and advertising. Her first book, Advertising 2.0: Social Media Marketing in a Web 2.0 World, was followed by others on using social media and digital marketing for the enterprise, and the book, Advertisers at Work, which features interviews with luminaries in the field. Dr. Tuten’s publications have appeared in such journals as Journal of Marketing Communications, Psychology & Marketing, and Journal of Business Research. Prior to her appointment at ECU, she taught at Longwood University and at Virginia Commonwealth University, where her research efforts were recognized with VCU’s Excellence in Scholarship award. A two-time Fulbright Scholar, she speaks all over the world on marketing topics. She’s been recognized with teaching awards at her respective institutions and with national awards, such as the O’Hara Leadership Award in Direct & Interactive Marketing Education. In 2013, she was inducted into the Incredible Women of ECU series, which highlights female graduates of East Carolina University who have reached exceptional levels of achievement in their respective careers. She is one of only 110 women to achieve this distinction. Her influence in social media marketing is recognized with a consistent ranking in the top 20 listing of marketing professors and top 50 listing of authors of marketing books on Twitter (respectively) by Social Media Marketing magazine. Michael R. Solomon, Ph.D., is Professor of Marketing and Director of the Center for Consumer Research in the Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The best social media marketing textbook available

There are a number of books available on this topic but I have found that Social Media Marketing may be the best! I have used this book as the text for teaching a social media marketing course at a major university on three occasions. This is a great read, full of examples and information that is valuable to the reader (in my case, students) who are eager to learn more about how marketers can leverage and benefit from using social media. In particular, there is a solid outline on how to create a social media marketing plan. Again, very valuable and this template may be applied from small to mid-size businesses to an enterprise. Students have made very positive comments on Social Media Marketing 2nd edition, and found it to be very useful in developing social media marketing plans. I strongly recommend this book for anyone who needs to learn how to leverage social media.

This textbook is not nearly as bad as the dozens of others that I have had to use in the past. Rather than just throwing information out at you in a dull, linear fashion it ties the material together with pop culture examples to help connect the what we're learning to the real world. Even the info itself is written in a more natural and fun way than the standard textbook. I'm only giving it 4 stars because at the end of the day it's still a textbook, so it's in my blood to have some sort of dislike for it.

Inspiring Text

If you are a social media novice, this is a great educator to how and why it works in your favor. If I had more time, I would read it outside of the bare minimal that I need to complete assignments in my online Social Media Marketing course. The chapters are brief and it is lightweight. If you are short on time and you are allowed open book tests, the end of chapter summaries are a great overview of the chapter without having to read each chapter in entirety.

Don't like this book at all

Don't like this book at all. Sayings are just mediocre and there's very little room to write your own thoughts - plus, some days are grouped together for no apparent reason - at least not one that I can discern.

Setting intentions will change your life

"A Year of Daily Calm" goes beyond the typical calendar year journal with it's beautiful pictures, quotes, and reflective prompts. I love having this book on my nightstand! Setting the intention of calm every day is such a simple step but it can change lives - even generations if you're a teacher or a parent. When I'm being triggered while waiting in traffic or encountering disrespect, just the thought of "A Year of Daily Calm" and my morning entry allows me to be more responsive and less reactive. I hope Kate Hanley does one for kids and teens in 2017!

Kate Hanley is not only an author but also a life coach, my life coach. I bought the book in support of her endevours. I am not much for journaling but cracked the spine and find it very helpful. I am thinking thoughts and feeling emotions I didnt know existed. Daily Calm is a daily journey.
