About the Author
Paul Rosenberg has an extensive background in the construction, data, electronic, HVAC and plumbing trades. He is a leading voice in the electrical industry with years of experience from an apprentice to a project manager. Paul has written for all of the leading electrical and low voltage industry magazines and has authored more than 50 books.In addition, he wrote the first standard for the installation of optical cables (ANSI-NEIS-301) and was awarded a patent for a power transmission module. Paul currently serves as contributing editor for Power Outlet Magazine, teaches at Iowa State University and works as a consultant and expert witness in legal cases. He speaks occasionally at industry events.

MEXICAN-ENGLISH CONSTRUCTION DICTIONARY

This translation guide works for American contractors with illegal Mexican workers. It`s far from having proper Spanish construction and engineering terminology, and when I refer Spanish, I mean international Spanish, not just from the Peninsula. Many of the ¨Spanish¨translations are inaccurate and many are just funny Americanisms. It is a very limited guide, and could probably be used in California and Texas by a few little, not by the rest of the world, not to say Latin America.

A necessity for any general contractor

I recently started working with a general contractor and I was having trouble communicating with many of the Hispanic subcontractors. After skimming through the dictionary a few times and practicing the words a bit, I was able to communicate much quicker and easier with the workers. The organization of the book also allows me to quickly look up any words that I haven't used yet. I'd recommend it to anyone in a construction field who is struggling to understand Spanish.
